Description : Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Periods, ca. 712 to 30 BCE. Two stirrup-shaped, bright blue faience finger rings, each one with a flat face bearing a symbol. One depicts a scarab, while the other depicts what looks like a human figure holding a staff. These ring bezels were made using a clay mold, and demonstrate the level of skill that the ancient Egyptians had attained in working with faience.
