Description : African art. Botswana Namibia, Bushmen or San. Necklace made of ostrich egg discs. Kalahari.. This ancient necklace, made entirely of ostrich eggshell discs, was made and worn by the women of the San or Bushmen people of the Kalahari Desert between Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Each disc was cut into a round shape and perforated with primitive tools, a lot of patience and some skill given the fragility of the material used. The discs calibrated to the same size were then threaded with cotton thread.. Cm 1,50 x 37,00.
