They include 26 plates of Mrs. McCormick's own estate, Walden, on Lake Michigan. The book was originally written for a meeting of the Friday Club of Chicago in 1899. This edition is limited to 1,200 copies. The work is illustrated with 56 photogravure plates. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean, creamy white pages that have deckled edges. The book measures approximately 8.75 x 12.25 and contains xxiii/31 pages.
