Description : Dogon People, Mali. Gracefully leaning couple, male and female. The Female carries a baby on her back. The Dogon say that the figures were magically seen in trees by Spiritual Leaders and described to the village Carver who then liberated the figures. 33in H each. Custom-made steel stands are included. This Authentic African Tribal Sculpture has been examined by Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy and is approximately 140 years old. A certificate of the examination will accompany the artwork.
