This document, which may have been a manual of military surgery, describes 48 cases of injuries, fractures, wounds, dislocations and tumors. The vintage volume is bound in two-tone orange cloth covers. There is heavy external rubbing concentrated at the edges and corners. The binding is sound. Bookplates and stamps from the University of California appear on the endpapers. The pages are clean with mild to moderate age toning. The work is lavishly illustrated with color plates reproducing the papyrus. Several plates have a University of California perforated stamp.
