With base: 37 1/2. ++ A wooden horse with peg inserts. 20th century. 5 1/2 x 10 x 2 With stand: 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 x 2. Provenance: The Inventory and Collection from the Estate of Merton D. Simpson. Elements of this cane appear to be african, however the ivory head, hairstyle, and hat confuse the issue. ++ This unusual object may be part of a folk art piece. It does not suggest any African origin.
