Description : A gilded and painted carved roundel featuring Horus, Roman Period, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, a feather of Ma'at before and a sceptre over his shoulder. An interesting piece with a ceramic core overlain with linen fabric, then dressed, painted and gilded. Formed part of the burial equipment. Some light weathering, but a rare and very interesting piece! Dia: 2 1/8 in (5.4 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection.
