Description : Property from the Estate of David Rapkin Description: Four African Standing Figures, comprising a 14 in. standing funerary figure with green waist beads, probably Fang, Gabon (wear to edges of hair), a 14 3/8 in. figure with hammered bronze applique (age crack from base through body), a 15 3/8 in. standing figure with arms akimbo (wear to top of head) and a 14 5/8 in. Janus-figure of a couple, male and female (old loss to top of head). Provenance of Fang figure: Exhibited African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection, University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012. Measurements: Height: of funerary figure, 14 in. x Width: 3 1/2 in. x Depth: 4 in. Condition: Overall good condition, some age cracking to wood, general surface wear and scratches throughout, see description.
