Description : An Egyptian painted wood ibis, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, simplistically carved and still attached to the original rectangular base, with tall neck and flattened beak. Well-preserved with most of the original paint remaining, primarily black with a collar of red and vibrant golden yellow on the beak. 5 ¼ in x 4 ½ in (13.3 x 11.7 cm). All original, no retouching of paint. Ex Nomis Antiquities.
