Description : A ceramic offering cup and mosaic glass gaming counter from Egypt. The gaming piece, Islamic, 7th - 8th Century AD, pear-shaped and in blue glass with white and blue alternating ovals with a flat bottom, 18 x 20mm. The offering cup, Middle Kingdom, c. 12th Dynasty, hand modeled with flared walls and wide base. 20 x 17mm. Light deposits throughout. Said to be found at Dashur between the Bent Pyramid of Sneferu and the Valley Temple to the Northeast. Ex Wash DC private collection.
