This is the rating and price for Egyptian New Kingdom Alabaster Footed Bowl

Description : Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, ca. 1292 to 1189 BCE. A stunning bowl or tazza, skillfully hand-carved from alabaster to boast a squat, bulbous body, a brief, corseted neck, and a gracefully flared rim, all sitting upon a discoid foot. Though the walls are silky smooth, areas of the interior and below the rim still display small, incised lines that can be both felt and seen - lovely remains from when the artist hollowed out the basin during carving process. Note the gorgeous translucent bands in hues of cream, honey, and butterscotch that naturally adorn the surface, creating an almost-ethereal glow when the elegant vessel is held to the light! A marvelous example from New Kingdom era Egypt! Size: 4.9 Diameter x 3.2 H (12.4 cm x 8.1 cm) As exotic forms of foreign stone vessels greatly appealed to New Kingdom craftsmen, this tazza was likely inspired by a Syrian model. Cf. the Brooklyn Museum, accession number 09.889.82. Provenance: private southwestern Pennsylvania, USA collection, acquired prior to 2000 All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
