Description : Egyptian turquoise glazed composition lion-headed goddess (acq. 1906 Egypt, Dubois, exhibited MoM, Ca 1968) with tripartite wig possibly Sekhmet seated on an openwork throne with Nehabhkau (snake god of the underworld) on both sides & holding a sistrum (musical instrument ). Loop for suspension at top behind head. Attached with soft wax to a newer stand.
