A large deep blue bifacial amuletic pendant of Bes in feather headdress with applied blue-green trails to the feet, hands, necklace, nose, eyes, brow and feathers, pierced at the neck and arms. Cf. Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, item 6c. 12 grams, 49mm (2). From a collection of Egyptian artefacts formed in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the property of a London gentleman.
