Description : Egyptian Knapped Flint Axe, Late Neolithic to Pre-Dynastic period, ca. 6000-3500 B.C., the tool percussion flaked from a piece of brown flint. Percussion flaking was used to detach small flakes of flint from the upper surface by striking the flint with a hammerstone or other implement.
