Description : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A colorful and attractive necklace of wearable form that is constructed using dozens of petite faience beads. Glazed in hues of blue, red, green, yellow, and brown, the accessory features several tubular beads - one of which bearing multiple segments - that are interspersed amongst a plethora of seed-form beads. The terminals are capped with a modern gold-filled loop and lobster clasp combo that enable this necklace to accentuate any outfit! Condition report : Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Faience beads are ancient, stringing and gold-filled components are modern. Minor nicks, abrasions, and fading to glaze pigment commensurate with age, with very light encrustations on some beads, otherwise intact and very good. Great preservation to glaze coloration throughout.
