Description : **First Time At Auction** Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. An attractive necklace constructed with dozens of petite glazed faience beads covered in a myriad of polychrome hues. The singular strands on either end are adorned with groups of seed-form beads that alternate with tubular beads before each end branches into a trio of shorter strands, a pair of miniature wadjet (also wedjat or Eye of Horus) pendants rest at each branching point. Centered on the necklace is a slender, green-glazed pendant depicting Bes, the bandy-legged dwarf deity, who stands atop attenuated legs and wears his signature feather crown.
