This is the rating and price for Egyptian Eye Of Horus Amulet, 1069

Description : Third Intermediate Period, 1069-702 BC. A pale blue composition wedjat amuletic bead with applied black trail to the brow and inset black stone to pupil. Property of a Essex gentleman, acquired from a collection formed in the 1920s. See Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.45. The wadjet, or udjat, eye (literally 'the sound one') was later called the eye of Horus, after the eye of the falcon headed god Horus, which had been plucked out during one of his interminable battles with Seth, and then restored by Thoth. Horus was the later Greek Haroeris, the celestial falcon and great creator god, whose right eye was the sun, and whose left eye the moon, and is an ancient symbol of protection, royal power and good health. 7.74 grams, 45mm (1 3/4).
