Description : [ Egyptian Antiquities ] [ Beads and Necklaces ] Late Period, 664 - 30 BC. A 1-kilo bag of multi-colored faience disc beads, often referred to as 'mummy beads'. This is because they were often used to form large nets that covered mummies during certain periods and at certain locations during the Late Period. Half of the kilo consist of the turquoise faience tube beads, which are more desirable then the regular disc beads. These are all of the highest quality with bright colors and glossy surfaces and will make quite a few necklaces.
