Description : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 525 BCE. A miniature cast-bronze depiction of Min (sometimes Khem), the god of fertility and reproduction. Wearing a double-feathered crown with a sun disk traditionally representative of the god Amun, Min stands with a rigid posture upon slender legs while holding a flail in his right hand and his phallus in his left. The deity also has an integral suspension loop behind his head, and the entire body is covered in a fine emerald-green patina. An ancient symbol of virility contrived in Pre-Dynastic Egypt, this is a rare depiction in bronze! Custom wooden display stand included.
