Horror of the Cannibals' Dinner features a bunch of South African natives who are lured to civilization by missionaries. Civilization turns out to be a plantation, and soon enough, the Africans are whipped, chained, and pressed into servitude by a wicked slavemaster. A beautiful African princess catches the slavemaster's fancy, and after a thinly-veiled rape (signified by a forced kiss which makes the princess gurgle UGH!), he whips her to death. The Africans in this story are drawn to look more or less white, a ploy, one assumes, to avoid flaunting the interracial sexual taboos of the day. It's a weird and unsettling yarn, full of gleefully-rendered atrocities, including a pasty-faced African witch who gets burned alive after her arms are hacked off by her master. In the final panels, African rebels chop off the slavemaster's head and justice is served (along with the slavemaster, who ends up in the Africans' stewpot).
