Description : A Coptic wooden comb, Egypt, c. 6th - 7th Century AD, of long rectangular form with both fine and coarse teeth, the central portion decorated with crossed lines composed of incised concentric circles. A few teeth missing, but a well preserved example of an ancient hair comb! L: 6 ¼ (15.9 cm). Ex Los Angeles collection.
