Description : -Congo Drum- -Late 20th Century- This beautiful drum was carved in the form of a male figure, and shows exquisite artistry and craftsmanship., Provenance: These pieces were collected over a period of several decades out of collections from America and throughout Europe, including France, Germany, Belgium, and Amsterdam beginning in the early, 1960s. The items in this collection have been identified by George Mack, former director of the Arizona African Art Museum. A fantastic piece that's perfect for your collection!, Piece has moderate wear from use and age, with several small chips and dents throughout. Toes on both feet have broken off and are missing, and figure is difficult to keep standing. Wood has a wonderful dark patina throughout. Overall in good, condition for its age.
