Description : Egypt, 18th Dynasty, reign of Thutmosos III. A very large and beautiful ancient scarab with rare scenic depiction of a monkey with arms raised in adoration in front of a horse. Monkeys greeted the rising sun, while horses were seen as the power of the king. 3.1 cm.
