Description : Description: Egyptian Faience Ushabti For Ankh-Pa-Djehuty, Ptolemaic Period, C. 300 B.C. Ushabti, Or Funerary Statuettes, Were Included Among Grave Goods In Order To Replace The Deceased In Laborious Activities During The Afterlife. This Item Is Blue In Colour With A Faded Inscription In The Centre. Approximately 3” In Length. The Ptolemaic Period Begins With The Death Of Alexander The Great And The Accession Of Ptolemy I In 305 Bce. The Period Ends With The Death Of Cleopatra Vii And The Roman Conquest Of Egypt In 30 Bce. Provenance- Ex. Julian Bird Collection, London, Acquired Between 1970 - 2012. All Purchases Will Be Accompanied By A Signed Certificate Of Authenticity.
