Description : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 25th Dynasty, reign of Taharqa/Tanwetamani, ca. 690 to 656 BCE. A carved serpentine ushabti bust, of typical mummiform, with hoes visible in either hand at his shoulders. The head features well executed eyes, wig, ears, and implements indicating this was meant for a high-ranking official - probably Chief Lector Priest Petamenophis. Remains of black pigment on reverse.
