This is the rating and price for Ancient Egypt, Middle Kingdom, 11Th To 13Th Dynasty

Description : **First Time At Auction** Ancient Egypt, Middle Kingdom, 11th to 13th Dynasty, ca. 2130 to 1649 BCE. A wooden tomb figure in an upright position with rounded shoulders, intended as a priest or servant to accompany the deceased to the afterlife. He would have been painted to indicate his role as an attendant - but the round, smooth head hints at a priestly role. Faint almond shaped eye impressions on the face, and a lovely aged and weathered surface to this wood add character to this nearly 4000 years old piece! Egyptian wooden sculptures are exceedingly rare due to the typical rapid decomposition of organic materials when placed inside tombs. Size: 4.25 L x 1.5 W (10.8 cm x 3.8 cm) Provenance: East Coast collection, New York Gallery, New York City, New York, USA, acquired before 2010 All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
