This is the rating and price for Ancient Egypt, First Intermediate Period

Description : Ancient Egypt, First Intermediate Period, ca. 2181 to 2055 BCE. A tall, thin alabaster vessel with a tapering base and a collared, round mouth. The alabaster is beautifully translucent and marbled when held up to a light source. Alabaster, which is a form of gypsum or calcite, soft to carve and smooth, was quarried along the length of the Nile, from Giza to just south of Luxor, and the Egyptians made its carved form famous throughout the ancient world. Vessels like this one seem to have been modeled after pottery or metal ones made during earlier period. Size: 1 W x 4.35 H (2.5 cm x 11 cm), 4.85 H (12.3 cm) on included custom stand.
