Size : (2.5 cm.) long
Provenance : with R.H. Blanchard, Cairo. George Anastase Michaelides (1900-1973), London. Antiquities, Sotheby's, London, 26 July 1976, lot 324 (part). Dr. Ulrich Mueller, Zurich, 1981-2006. Rabbi Shaul Shimon Deutsch, Brooklyn, New York, 2006.

Notes : The names Khakaure and Nimaatre are the prenomens of the pharaohs Sesotris III and his son Amenemhet III who ruled during the 12th Dynasty of the Middle Kingdom. As recorded on a now damaged rock inscription at Konnoso in Nubia, it is believed that Sesotris III established a co-regency with his son and successor, Amenemhet III, towards the end of his reign which terminated in 1839 B.C.
