Probably representing the falcon god, Sodpu, from the lid of a shabti box, the body decorated in crimson and black slip, the face and chest gilded, wearing a beaded collar with counterpoise pendant at the back with black horizontal bands across the chest, with an old collection label on the base which reads 'provenant de la succession du Marquis de Laborde', 5.5in.
