In the form of an ornate composite column capital, composed of a papyrus umbel overlaid by lotus buds, their tips turned out forming volutes, with drop-shaped elements below, a tiered calyx frieze at the base, the upper end of the column shaft with horizontal bands, the capital surmounted by a square block preserving incised guidelines on its upper surface 5 1/2 in. (14 cm.) high
