Description : New Kingdom, Dynasty XVIII, Period of Amenhotep II to Tuthmosis IV, 1427-1391 B.C. The figure seated on a high integral plinth with a rounded back edge, his knees bent to the level of his chin, his arms crossed over his knees, his body enveloped in a cloak, but for his emerging hands, the right hand clenched, the left open, palm down, wearing a wide wig and a short chin beard, his full lips pursed into a slight smile, the corners of the mouth indented and the filtrum indicated, with a slender straight nose and horizontal button-hole eyes, the upper lids, extending cosmetic lines and brows all modelled in shallow relief, the ears prominent, with six horizontal lines of hieroglyphs on the front of the cloak, sculpted in sunk relief, reading: A royal offering of Amen-Re, Lord of the Sky, and Ptah the Great, South of His Wall, that they may give an invocation offering of cattle and fowl, alabaster and clothing, incense and oil, offerings of all vegetables, and all good and pure things daily for the ka of the scribe of cattle counting of the god's wife (of Amun), Amenhotep. His son is the one who dedicated the memorial, Royal Scribe Nes-Nefer-Rehni, justified 8 1/4 in. (21 cm.) high
