Description : AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE STAFF FINIAL IN THE FORM OF ISIS-SELKET CIRCA 4TH 2ND CENTURY B.C. The goddess in the form of a scorpion's body, her upper human part with protective 'vulture' headdress, uraeus, crown of uraei, surmounted by sun disk between cow's horns, her hands outstretched in front of her, a chased inscription around the base invokes Isis to give life to the donor, mounted 3.625 x 1.75 in. (9.2 x 4.5 cm.), 5.25 in. (13.1 cm.) high Cf. G. D.
