Description : from an Isis and Horus group, the Goddess is seated, her feet resting on a footstool, her right hand under her left breast, her left hand held out before her, wearing a long tight-fitting dress and deep jewelled collar, her eyes with silver inlay, with heavy wig of echeloned curls and vulture headdress, with diadem of cobra heads and horned solar disc headdress, the figure of the Infant God Horus missing, with an inscription around the footstool asking that Osiris give life to Hep-Ir-Iw, son of Wedja-Hor, 32 cm. (12 5/8 in.) Provenance: Leon Pomerance Collection Sotheby's, New York, Antiquities Sale, 15th June 1988, lot 25.
