Description : AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE FALCON SARCOPHAGUS LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXVI, 664-525 B.C. In the form of a long quadrangular pylon surmounted by the Horus Falcon standing with finely-engraved wings crossing over the tail feathers, wearing the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt fronted by a uraeus, the projecting spiral now missing, the front of the sarcophagus engraved with two rows of hieroglyphics, reading: "Horus of Pe, the Son and Heir, who gives all life and health (to) Pedibast, son of Hor," the back open 10½ in. (26.7 cm.) long
