This is the rating and price for African Yohure Togetherness Mask

Description : The Yohure mask are the elongated face, high forehead, protruding mouth, serrated design on the collar and pierced semi-circular eyes. The eyebrows are carved in long lines and extend to the side of the eyes to represent female beauty. Also, beauty is represented by the coiffure and the scarification mask beside and between the eyes..The animal superstructure is also common in Yohure masks and in this mask, there are two hornbills. This, therefore, puts this mask in the lomane class (lomane means bird in Baule language which was spoken by a part of the Yohure people). By portraying both birds with beaks touching, this mask is a sign of 'togetherness' or unity. CONDITION overall good, old cracks on top and bottom of back frame section. H. 21'' W. 10 1/2'' D. 8''.
