Description : African Ceremonial Wooden Mask-Helmet, Tetela Tribe, Congo, 20th century, hand carved in a pattern of horizontal diagonal scars on its lower part, two eyes with small horizontal holes and a large embossed mouth, two horns on its head, holes to the mask's edges' sides, apparently had attached tassels: straw or wood. Apparently was designated to promote success in hunting and show admiration to the tribe's forefathers. Height: 32 cm, width: 20 cm.
