Description : Photographer unknown. Nude studies of African and Arabian women (1 man). Circa 1890 - 1910. 13 vintage albumen and collodion paper prints. Various sizes between circa 24 x 17 cm and 16,5 x 11 cm. Several mounted to board, some annotated in pencil/crayon with layout marks on mount, some annotated in pencil on the verso.
These photographs are most likely from the estate of Carl Heinrich Stratz, author of the book Die Rassenschönheit des Weibes, which was extremely popular, and in 1940 the 22nd edition was published. - A few slightly faded, some with spots, otherwise most in good condition.
