Description : A pair of Egyptian stone grinding palettes, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the smaller in speckled green and black serpentine, (2 ¾ in x 2 in, 6.4 x 5 cm), the other in a reddish travertine, (3 ¼ in x 2 ¾ in, 8.3 x 7 cm), both showing wear in the central area from use, then smaller with light chipping, both with mineral deposits.
