Description : glass heart amulets, one in turquoise with yellow trail, the other in white with dark brown trail, both with vertical lug handles, applied collars, pierced vertically, 15mm. and 12mm., the bases chipped slightly, a tear-drop shaped pendant in green glaze with yellow glaze at the end, 21mm., all New Kingdom, circa 14th Century B.C., a sizeable flat-backed green glazed composition djed pillar, with incised details, 31/4in. (8.4cm.) high, two udjat eyes, in blue glazed composition with added details in black, 13/8in. (4cm.) and 11/4in. (3.2cm.), a milled edge bead with incised cross pattern, 11/8in. (2.8cm.), a terracotta mould for an oval seal/ring bezel impressed with a palmette, 11/4in. (3.5cm.), a green glazed oval inscribed scaraboid, pierced through the middle, with a gazelle on one side and two lizards on thhe other, New Kingdom, 19mm. long, on a red velvet mount, a green glazed composition ring with amuletic bezel of a uraeus, Third Intermediate Period, 20mm., a blue glazed papyrus column amulet, 15mm., all Late to Ptolemaic Periods (11) Provenance: Collected by the late Hans Calmann (1898-1982), the Old Master Drawing dealer, London For the first two items cf.
