Description : third intermediate period, dynasty xxi-xxv, 1070-664 b.c. The goddess depicted seated, wearing a tight-fitting sheath, tripartite wig, and vulture headdress surmounted by a uraeus -ringed modius supporting her cow-horn and sun-disk attributes, her chest ornamented with an incised broad collar, her right hand pressed beneath her left breast, her left hand cradling her son, the young Horus seated across his mother's lap, his head near her left breast, depicted nude but for his cap crown fronted by a uraeus and adorned with a side lock, wearing the thorn amulet around his neck, the goddess' feet upon an integral base, silver inlays for her eyes, the fine details of her headdress and broad collar incised 14.11/16 in.
