Description : DESCRIPTION: Three carved African masks. Includes: 1) Ngbaka chimpanzee mask, attributed to the Ngbandi. Concave face painted in kaolin. Approximately 8” long. 2) Senufo Kpelie mask. Wooden with partially encrusted patina. Minor losses and repairs. Approximately 12” tall. 3) Mask with horns, mustache, arched eyebrows and teeth. Unknown tribe. Missing right horn. Cowry shells form a line down center of forehead. Pierced perimeter for attachment. Patinated. Approximately 12” to top of horn. MEASUREMENTS: See Description. CONDITION: See Description.
