Anmerkung : Main store JHB This new series of monotypes made at the beginning of 2021 after a gruelling first year of the Covid-19 pandemic, depicts smoldering fires in the Lowveld. They follow a series of blazing fire prints, that were a metaphor for the heroism of the fire-fighters on the frontlines. Remains from a fire leave traces of trauma, and the smoke masks some of the rot endemic in our social fabric. The light and growth on the horizon perpetuate our resilience. - Kim Berman
