Beschreibung : Wootton (Frank) Poster: KARIBA DAM South African Airways - Central African Airways 1000 x 630 mm Fine panoramic view of Kariba Dam between Northern and Southern Rhodesia (Zambia and Zimbabwe). The dam was constructed between 1955 and 1959 creating a lake on the Zambesi River which extends for 280 kilometres. Poster 1000 x 630 mm printed in Great Britain. Lithographed in colour creased 250 mm tear in the centre at the bottom of the poster neatly repaired some other minor repairs to the margins and other tape marks and soiling on the back. Frank Wootton (1914 to 1998) produced many travel posters mainly of railway journeys in Britain. He is best known for his famous works depicting the Royal Air Force during the Second World War.
