Kongo wood, reddish brown patina, a long slender neck wrapped in copper wire, supporting an oval head with pointed forehead, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, on base, there are only a few collected examples of figurative amulets from the Ngbandi, executed in both wood and ivory. No additional information is available concerning their use and function. They may originally have belonged to a lombé warrior, but the possibility that they were attributes of a bendo diviner or kokoro man cannot be excluded.
