Beschreibung : A South African M1965 Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer's Dress Dagger - measures 16 1/2, with the scabbard on, featuring a 10 inch nickel-plated steel blade, magnetic, with unsharpened edges and having a semi-sharp tip. The blade's ricasso is numered, the blade is plane. It retains its crossgraining, with faint scratches overall, common to extraction and return to the scabbard, and a natural shine, with scattered surface wear, rating better than very fine. The far ends of the red felt washer at the crossguard junction have been lost to time but the piece that wraps around the blade remains. Crossguard with a detailed spread-winged brass Air Force eagle, resting upon a four-sided frame, its talons clutching the frame below, exhibiting green oxidation, surface wear and contact marks from active use. The scabbard is plain in design, with a ball finial and two dagger hanger rings. Set also comes with original hangers and dress belt. Excellent.
