Beschreibung : **First Time At Auction** Egypt, Romano-Egyptian period, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A free-blown, semi-translucent glass balsamarium of a deep aqua color and a thick composition. The vessel is defined by a slightly concave base and a smooth pontil scar, a bulbous lower body, a tall cylindrical neck leading to a wide mouth, and an everted discoid rim. Thick areas of silver and rainbow iridescence coat the majority of the interior and nicely complement the vessel's deep hue. Size: 2.875 W x 3.125 H (7.3 cm x 7.9 cm).
