Beschreibung : London: Francis Graham Moon, 1846-49. 3 volumes. Broadsheets. As in most sets, the present has the volume number scraped away from the title-page of the second volume and no printed reference at all to a volume number in the third volume. Dedication leaf, a few woodblock hieroglyphic characters. illustration: 3 tinted lithographed pictorial title-pages, 61 tinted lithographed plates, and 60 tinted lithographed text illustrations, all by Louis Haghe after Roberts; full-sheet engraved map of the Nile valley. 615 x 438 mm. binding: Nineteenth-century half red morocco and marbled boards; spines gilt in seven compartments; marbled endpapers; top edges gilt.
