The mask is painted red and white and dated from the middle of the 20th century. These masks dance during the initiation- and circumcision celebrations when the initiators return to the village. The masks were danced by members of a group who are in charge of preventing enchantment and witchcraft. The wooden mask is in very good condition with light signs of age.
