The Romans produced glass all over their expanded empire with production centers in the Levant, especially Syria and Lebanon, as well as Germany, Egypt, and Rhodes. While a a vessel such as this would have been reserved for the most elite Roman class, even middle-class Romans could afford small vessels such as tear vials and small unguents.
