Das ist der Preis für die folgende Bewertung: Egyptian Bronze Votive Sarcophagus W/ Snake

Beschreibung : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A fine bronze votive sarcophagus of rectangular form. The sarcophagus is surmounted by a stylized bronze snake, perhaps a uraeus cobra based on the frilled neck and reared pose. The serpentine effigy is accentuated by incised striations on the front of the frill as well as on the mouth and eyes. Fine green patina has formed across the composition. Votive sarcophagi like this example were filled with the mummified remains of the animal represented on the top and were offered to specific deities as gifts so their prayers could be heard.
